1. Who you are dealing with

Griddle & Grate Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Wolf or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

We service Wolf cooking equipment and nothing else. If the appliance turns out to be another manufacturer's, or another category of appliance, we will tell you on the phone rather than at your door, and there will be no charge.

2. The visit fee

$129 flat diagnostic. Credited toward the repair when you approve the work. One fee per visit, not per appliance fault. It is payable whether or not you go ahead with the repair, because it pays for the trip and the diagnosis, and it is credited against the repair when you approve the work.

3. Estimates and approval

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor is billed. No part is ordered and no labor is billed beyond the diagnostic until you approve the estimate. If the appliance turns out to need something the estimate did not cover, work stops and you get a revised figure before it resumes.

4. Access and the work area

An adult over 18 must be present for the appointment. We need clear access to the appliance, to its gas or electrical isolation, and somewhere to put panels while they are off. Built-in units sometimes have to be drawn out of a cabinet; where an installer has sealed, tiled or scribed the unit into place, that work is not ours to undo and we will say so before starting.

5. Appointments and cancellation

Appointments are scheduled inside published hours only — Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am – 4:00pm, Sunday Closed. There is no after-hours or emergency service. Give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel; a visit where nobody is home may be charged as a diagnostic.

6. Parts

Genuine OEM parts only. Genuine OEM parts only. No aftermarket substitutes on sealed gas, ignition or control components. Special-order parts are ordered against your approved estimate and are not returnable once fitted. Parts we remove are discarded unless you ask for them at the time of the visit.

7. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the visit. We take cash, check and card. A repair is not warranted until it has been paid for.

8. Warranty

90 days on labor, 365 days on parts. The full terms, including what is not covered, are on the warranty page and form part of these terms. This is our own workmanship warranty. It is not, and has no effect on, any warranty offered by the manufacturer.

9. Limits

Appliances that are already faulty sometimes fail further during diagnosis; a heating element can open on its first energisation, a brittle plastic clip can break on removal. We work carefully and we tell you when a part is fragile before touching it, but pre-existing condition is not something we can insure against. Our liability for any one job is limited to what you paid for that job. We are not liable for spoiled food, consequential loss or loss of use.

10. Unsafe conditions

If we find a gas leak, a scorched connection, a missing ground, an appliance wired into an unsuitable circuit, or ventilation ducted in a way that is unsafe, we will isolate the appliance and put the finding in writing. We will not return it to service in that condition. Correcting an installation or wiring defect is separate work and may need a licensed trade of another discipline.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in the courts serving Clay County.

12. Changes

The terms that apply to your job are the ones published when you booked it. This page was last updated August 1, 2026. Our privacy notice is on the privacy page.
